SUMMARY: ABLEconf has enabled half-price student registration for Arizona's Premiere Conference on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), the Arizona Business and Liberty Experience (ABLEconf). The one-day technology and business conference has several presentations that might be of particular interest to students, especially Tucker Wolfe's workshop on resume writing.
PHOENIX -- Half-price student registration for ABLEconf on Saturday March 24th is $12.00 and includes full access to the included lunch and presentations. Topics that might be of interest to students include: Resume Writing Strategies and Tips from Tucker Wolfe ( technical and corporate recruiting since 1998 for a wide array of industries ); Mobile Device Forensics from Kristy Westphal ( Director, Security Operations for T-Systems North America ); Discovering Performance Possibilities in Linux from Curtis Zinzilieta ( Principal Engineer, Walt Disney Animation Studios ); Building the Serverless Office Network using the Desktop Cloud from Chris Lewis ( won DEF CON Capture The Flag as part of a team ); and Big Data for the Small/Medium Enterprise from Joseph Sinclair.
The student discount requires showing a current, valid student ID ( K12, college or university ) when checking in on Saturday, March 24th. Deadline of Monday, March 19th, to get lunch with paid registration.
The 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM technology and business conference is once again at the University of Advancing Technology.
